Watkins Architect designed a three-story, 12,000 sq. ft. addition and renovations to the existing facility, as well as a master plan for all future growth of the church property. New spaces include a Narthex, offices, kitchen and restrooms. Future fit-out of the basement and second floor will provide classrooms, nurseries, conference/library, choir rehearsal, first aid and storage. The primary goals of the addition were to provide accessibility for the aging members of the congregation and to supplement the existing classrooms for both the child and adult members. Special care was taken in the design process to address connectivity between the addition and existing building, to complement and highlight the architectural features of the original 1890 building and to meet the current and future spatial needs of the congregation. Additional features of the design include air conditioning for the existing facility and backlighting for the stained glass windows obstructed by the addition. Furthermore, the original four-story design was modified to meet budgetary constraints.

Master planning was executed in order to determine the feasibility of future growth. Design and construction of a new addition followed, adding a Narthex, main stair, elevator, classrooms and accessible restrooms. Interior renovations included new church offices, a coat room and storage. The exterior of the addition was designed to blend with the existing historical church.

Master planning and design of a new 24,000 sq. ft. addition to the existing church/school facility. The addition will primarily be used by the K-12 Christian school with spaces that include a full-size high school gymnasium/fellowship hall with theatrical stage, commercial kitchen, youth sanctuary, classrooms, school offices, conference room, outside play area and miscellaneous support spaces.
