To help you determine what the best move for your business is, here are some tips to keep in mind.
Brainstorm
Sit down with your key employees and brainstorm. Determine how much space you feel you need and what you want it to look like. Consider planning for additional employees and support spaces.
Take a Look
Step back and take a look at your current location. Ask yourself these questions:
- Do you have enough property to add the expansion you are envisioning?
- Is your current location still ideal for the image of your business?
- Can your current location flow with the expansion you are envisioning?
Consult an Architect
As you’re going through the process of determining if you want to expand your current location or move, consult an architect. Work with them to have plans created to help you envision the expansion.
We recently worked with Shwab Dentist in Blandon, PA to help with their expansion this year. Back in 2016, we designed the original state-of-the-art facility for their practice. With a growing clientele, they discovered it was time to make a change and they chose to expand by adding a 1,500 SF addition. This addition included adding three additional operatories and three additional hygiene rooms. With this addition, it gives them a total of eight operatories, seven hygiene rooms, an employee breakroom, offices, a waiting room, a cathedral ceiling entryway, lab, and other support spaces.
